Day 1. Tuesday NEW ZEALAND - SINGAPORE
Fly direct from Christchurch or Auckland to Singapore. You will be met on arrival and transferred to the Orchard Hotel or similar.

Day 2. Wednesday SINGAPORE
Free day to explore Singapore at your leisure. Maybe visit the zoo, Sentosa Island, or the shops. We do recommend the Night Safari!

Day 3. Thursday SINGAPORE - MALACCA (260 km) (L)
You will be picked up from the hotel. Drive aross the causeway into Johore Bahru, Malaysia, and on through lush tropical jungle, rubber and oil plantations, and enchanting laid back Kampong Malay villages. After lunch tour the historical city of Malacca visiting major attractions of St Pauls Hill, the renowned Porta De Santiago, Cheng Hoon Teng temple, and Jonkers St known also as Antique street. Accommodation at Hotel Equatorial.

Day 4. Friday MALACCA - KUALA LUMPUR (155km) (BL)
Drive to Kuala Lumpur, capital of Malaysia this morning. Your tour of this city of charming contrasts will include the National Palace, National Museum, National Monument, National Mosque, the Selangor Club and pass by the tallest building in the world - the Petronas Twin Tower.

Day 5. Saturday KUALA LUMPUR (BL)
Morning tour to the Batu Caves to climb the 272 steps and also visit Malaysian craft centres and pewter works. Free afternoon to explore at your leisure.

Day 6. Sunday KUALA LUMPUR - CAMERON HIGHLANDS (255 km) (BL)
Drive north into Perak State and on to the cool Cameron Highlands situated some 1800 metres above sea level. Vegetables grow in profusion and flowers bloom everywhere. Visit some of the local Malaysian Aboriginal people and you have time to explore at your leisure. Accommodation at Equatorial Hotel.

Day 7. Monday CAMERON HIGHLANDS - PENANG (310 km) (BL)
Drive downhill and north to Ipoh, centre of the tin industry and known as the city of millionaires. En route visit Kellies Castle built by the Scottish rubber tycoon, and famous cave temples in Ipoh. Continue north to Kuala Kangsar with its magnificent Ubudiah Mosque, and see the Palace of the Sultan of Perak. Cross the Penang bridge (13.5km long) to the island of Penang. Accommodation at Holiday Inn resort.

Day 8. Tuesday PENANG (BL)
Today explore Penang - the "Pearl of the Orient" and the oldest British Settlement in Malaysia. Visit the famous snake temple and have your photo taken with a viper if your wish! Visit Georgetown including a clan house, Fort Cornwallis, and the Thai temple of Wat Chayamangkalaram. The rest of the afternoon is free to enjoy the beach or explore further on your own.

Day 9. Wednesday. PENANG - PANGKOR ISLAND (245km) (BL)
Drive to Taiping, once the capital of Perak state and visit the Taiping Lake and gardens - constructed in disused tin mines. Also visit the Taiping War Centerray where many Commonwealth soldiers are buried from the 2nd World War. Continue to the town of Lamut for the half hour cruise to Pangkor Island. Accommodation at Pangkor Island Beach resort.

Day 10. Thursday. PANGKOR ISLAND (BL)
The day is free to relax and enjoy all the facilities of your resort and the beach, or explore the fishing villages on the island.

Day 11. Friday. PANGKOR - PORT DICKSON (335km) (BL)
Return to the mainland and drive south enjoying the scenes of rural Malaysia en route to Port Dickson. Accommodation at Guoman Hotel.

Day 12. Saturday. PORT DICKSON - SINGAPORE (310km) (BL)
Continue south on the north- south highway to Singapore arriving between 5 and 6pm. You will be transferred to the airport for your flight To Auckland or Christchurch.

You are welcome to stayover in Singapore. Why not add Bintan Island, or a Star cruises cruise aboard the "Superstar Virgo".

Day 13. Sunday. AUCKLAND OR CHRISTCHURCH ARRIVE.
Arrive Auckland or Christchurch this morning.
