Day 1. Wednesday. AUCKLAND - KATHMANDU
Depart Auckland at 1.15am aboard Air New Zealand flight to Singapore arriving 6.45am. Transfer to our Silkair flight to Kathmandu arriving 12.05pm. We will be met on arrival and transferred to your accommodation at Dwarika's heritage hotel. After check in visit Thamel and explore the city. This evening enjoy a traditional Nepalese dinner.

Day 2. Thursday. KATHMANDU (BD)
A highlight of any tour to Nepal is a 1 hour flight along the backbone of the Himalayas for a close up look at Mt Everest and return to Kathmandu - extra expense $360 and weather permitting.

During the rest of the day sightseeing in Kathmandu valley includes UNESCO World Heritage sites in the old city of Kathmandu. Visit Durbar square and the temple of the living goddess, the palace of the medieval malla Kings, Pashupatinath temple and famous Swoyambunath Stupa with its playful monkeys. We will also visit the ancient city of Patan including the Royal Palace. Some of these places experienced major damage in the earthquake and you have the opportunity to visit a severely damaged village and school in a more remote valley and you are invited to contribute to their reconstruction and students needs.

Depart early for the 4-5 hour drive to the beautiful 932 sq km Chitwan National Park. Unfortunately there are only some 80 Royal Bengal Tigers left in the Park but there are leopards, sloth bears, wild boar, hyena, deer, elephants, and rhino. There are also 450 species of birds and 67 species of butterflies. This afternoon enjoy a guided village walk on the banks of the Rapti River to watch the sunset. This evening enjoy dinner and a cultural programme from the local people. Accommodation at Tigerland Safari resort.

Today we experience the national park and enjoy bird watching on land and during a dug out canoe ride looking for crocodiles, rhinoceros, and other wild inhabitants. Also enjoy an elephant safari and your opportunity to wash your own elephant! Day 5. Sunday. CHITWAN - POKHARA (BD)
Drive to beautiful Pokhara Valley (4-5 hours) nestled among the mighty mountains of the Annapurna range. Accommodation at Fishtail Lodge on the shores of Lake Phewa with free time to relax and enjoy the magnificent views and peaceful atmosphere

Day 6. Monday. POKHARA VALLEY. (BD)
Early morning drive to Sarangot Hill to enjoy sunrise over the Himalayas. After breakfast enjoy a cruise on Lake Phewa and visit the World Peace Pagoda and Gupteshwar Gufa cave. Later explore tour the Pokhara Valley including Devi's Fall, Seti River Gorge, Tibetan villages in the North Pokhara Valley and the Annapurna history museum. Day 7. Tuesday. POKHARA - KATHMANDU (BD)
Fly to Kathmandu this morning with a free afternoon for your own activities.This evening visit the amazing vibrant Thamel market area.

Day 8. Wednesday. KATHMANDU - SINGAPORE (B)
Transfer to the airport and depart with Silkair at 1.05pm arriving Singapore 8.15pm.Transfer to our hotel
You are welcome to stay longer in Nepal if you wish. Why not enjoy one of the treks for which the country is famous.
Day 9. Thursday. SINGAPORE DEPART (B)
Free day to explore Singapore at your leisure with many optional tours available. Transfer to the airport and depart at 8.50pm aboard Singapore Airlines A380 aircraft. You are welcome to stay longer in Singapore if you wish. Maybe explore Malaysia, take a cruise, Visit Bintan Island, relax on Koh Samui or Langkawi Islands or whatever you wish.

Arrival in Auckland is scheduled for 11.45am.

KER AND DOWNEY - 2 days/1 night - relatively easy trek!

Day 1. (LD) Drive 45 minutes from Pokhara to Phedi to start your trek. Climb for the next 3 hours through beautiful country and forest to the top of the hill named Dhampus for panoramic views. Overnight at Basanta Lodge.

Day 2. (B) Relax and enjoy the views before we trek for 1.5 hours along the ridge for transfer back to Kathmandu. Optional visit to a Tibetan refugee camp on the way. Arrive back in Kathmandu late morning.

Trek cost per person $295


Day 1. (LD). After a briefing drive for 1 hour to the trek start. We will then trek for 3-4 hours follwoing a ridgeline in the Annapurna's with great views of the Pokhara Valley. The route then drops to the Modi River Valley with accommodation at Sanctuary Lodge.

Day 2. (BLD). Depart after breakfast passing through small hamlets, terraced rice fields, and forests. Arrive at the Himalaya Lodge in the early afternoon. Trek time is 5-6 hours.

Day 3. (BLD). Follow the route taken by donkeys and mule traisn carrying goods to the Gurkha settlements and descend for 2-3 hours to Shauli Bazaar. Late morning arrive back at Sanctuary Lodge with an opportunity to visit the village of Birethanti (4 hours trek time)

Day 4. (BLD). Trek for approximately 2 hours to Gurung Lodge built along the lines of a traditional Nepalese village. This afternoon visit the local folk msueum and a school.

Day 5. (BLD). Trek for about 3.5 hours through sub tropical forests that include orchids, rhododendrons and magnolias. Overnight at Basanta lodge.

Day 6. (BLD). Trek for 1.5 hours to rejoin our vehicle for the 30 minute drive back to Pokhara arriivng late morning.
