Day 1. Saturday AUCKLAND - TOKYO
Fly from Auckland to Tokyo and transfer by coach to Shiba Park Hotel or similar.

Day 2. Sunday TOKYO
Our morning tour includes the Tokyo Tower observatory, drive by the National Diet building, Imperial East Garden, drive through Akihabara and Ginza and visit the Asakusa Kannon and Nakamise shopping arcade. Free afternoon and evening to explore at your leisure.

Day 3. Monday TOKYO - MT FUJI - HAKONE (L)
Drive through the countryside and half way up Mt Fuji for lunch at Hotel Highland Resort then on to Hakone for a cruise on Lake Ashi and ride on the Mt Komagatake aerial Cableway. Overnight at Hakone Kowaki-en hotel. Why not try the hot spring baths tonight? (extra expense).

Day 4. Tuesday HAKONE - TOBA (L)
Drive to Odawara and join the Shinkansen (bullet train) for the fast ride to Nagoya. After lunch visit Nagoya Castle and Tokugawa Art Museum. Late afternoon transfer by train to Toba.

Day 5. Wednesday TOBA - KYOTO (L)
Visit Pearl Island this morning to see the process of cultured Pearls and women pearl divers at work. After a seafood lunch at the hotel drive to Ise-Jingu shrine and on to Kyoto by train. Accommodation at New Miyako hotel or similar for 3 nights.

Day 6. Thursday KYOTO AND NARA (L)
Sightseeing tour of Kyoto this morning includes the Golden Pavilion, Nijo Castle, and Kyoto Imperial Palace. Lunch included before visiting ancient Nara including the Todaiji Temple, Kasuga Shrine, and Deer Park.

Day 7. Friday KYOTO - FREE DAY
Free day to explore at your leisure. Maybe take an optional tour to Hiroshima including bullet train, Peace Memorial Park, and Itsukushima shrine - extra cost $650

Day 8. Saturday KYOTO - OSAKA - SEOUL
Transfer to Osaka airport and fly to Seoul, Capital of South Korea. Meet our Korean guide and transfer to our hotel in Seoul. Enjoy a sightseeing tour of introduction to Seoul en route to your hotel.

Day 9. Sunday SEOUL - PANMUNJOM - SORAK (B)
Drive north to the demilitarized zone and visit the border post in the south then on to Bukhansan National Park for a tour and overnight in Sorak National Park at Kensington Hotel or similar.

Day 10. Monday SORAK (B)
Full day tour of Sorak National Park including Shinghungsa temple, Gweonggeumsanseong, Naksansa Temple, & Naksan beach.

Day 11. Tuesday SORAK - KYEONGJU (B)
Drive south to the ancient city of Kyeongju for accommodation for 2 nights at the Hilton Hotel or similar.

Day 12. Wednesday KYEONGJU (B)
Full day exploring the ruins including Poseokjeong, Cheomseongdae Observatory, Tumuli Park, Ananpchi Pond, Bulkuksa temple, and Seokgurram temple.

Day 13. Thursday KYEONGJU - BUSAN (B)
Drive to Busan this morning and tour the city this afternoon including Youngdusan Park and the fish market.

Day 14. Friday BUSAN - DAEJON (B)
Drive to the ancient cities of Gongjyu and Buyeo, capitals of the Baekje kingdom. Explore the area including the site of the Baekje Royal palace and the Korea Folk Drama museum.

Day 15. Saturday DAEJON - SEOUL (B)
Visit Taen Haean coastal National Park and return to Seoul late afternoon.

Day 16. Sunday SEOUL - OSAKA OR TOKYO - DEPART (B)
Transfer to the airport and depart for New Zealand via Osaka or Tokyo

Day 17. Monday ARRIVE NEW ZEALAND
Arrive Christchurch or Auckland this morning.
